NQF 4: FETC in banking

The FETC banking RPL is a matric equivalence qualification. (If you don't have a matric, it gives you an equivalent qualification.) It prepares you for a future in banking or insurance. 

This 10-module course covers:

  • Role players in the banking environment

  • Banking services

  • Banking products

  • Banking transactions

  • Customer service in a banking environment

  • Foreign exchange

  • Short term insurance

  • Long term insurance

NQF 5: National Certificate in banking 

This national certificate prepares you to work in the dynamic and fast-moving fintech environment.

If you're interested in big data and Artificial Intelligence, and the digital banking environment, this is the qualification for you!

This five-module course covers:

  • Digital banking (fintech in the 21st century)

  • Financial products and services

  • Governance, ethics and compliance

  • The customer experience and customer management

  • Risk management in a fintech environment

NQF 6: National Certificate in financial markets and instruments

Want to move your career journey in the financial services sector forward?

 

This two-year national certificate can do just that!

Year 1: 

  • Orientation module: digital banking and the economy (fintech in the 21st century)

  •  Mathematics and statistical calculations

  • Governance, ethics and compliance

  • Customer management

  • Financial markets and instruments

  •  Treasury and risk management in a fintech environment

 

Year 2: 

  • Reporting in a financial services environment

  • Building client relationships in an investment environment

  • Ethics

  • Economics

  • Compliance requirements in a financial services environment

NQF 6: National Diploma in financial markets and instruments

This diploma is FAIS-suitable and equips you with a 240-credit qualification.

NQF 7: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in financial markets and instruments

  • The influence of new and emerging financial instruments
